I remain impressed by the news coverage. Even with all your clews, I found it difficult to find any reports of a defeat of the Ukraine Foreign Legion (officially, the International Legion of Defense of Ukraine). Most articles were, ‘How to join!’
The Western News reported on the great victories of the US-led coalition that transformed the brutal, impoverished dictatorships of Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria into democratic, peaceful, and prosperous paradises. They reported all about Saddam’s WMD. They wrote of how St Brandon managed the withdrawal from Afghanistan in a way that saved more than 120,000 coalition lives.
They now report that the Russians have suffered more than 20,000 losses, about 20% of the total Russian military, and are close to withdrawal in abject defeat, while the Russians only managed to murder a few hundred of the Ukrainian defenders.
I found one article did say that a barrage of Russian missiles that came very close to Poland caused a few of the less dedicated Legionaires to flee the Ukraine, but only one such article (from New Zealand). The article added that, had even one slender shred of shrapnel blown into Poland, all of NATO would have risen to the defence of the Ukraine (but such a felicitous shred was nowhere to be found).
That Russia is being defeated is clear. Putin thought (according to the Clairvoyants working for the Western Press who can easily read the evil Putin’s mind) that the campaign to conquer and occupy the Ukraine would take less than one week, and it has now been more than three weeks and still the Ukraine are mounting a fierce and effective defence. The Western media say that, since the Russian defence department is hopelessly corrupt, none of the Russian tanks nor aeroplanes run, many of those aeroplanes have crashed killing all the crew, and none have managed to inflict any real damage on the Ukrainian defenders.
The Western media never mention Putin’s claims that the Russian military is not employing carpet bombing, is doing all it can to minimise civilian casualties, and is moving forward slowly but inexorably. This shows how the Russians have absolutely no knowledge of optimal military strategy, which employs ‘Shock and Awe,’ but this is good shock and awe, unlike the evil shock and awe employed by the Wehrmacht under orders from the evil Kaiser when they marched against Belgium after the Belgians refused to allow the Wehrmacht to move unimpeded through Belgium in 1914. No! The US is the Greatest, most Exceptional Force for Good in the World. (Just ask them, or the Western media, or Western Social Media, they’ll tell you.)

Foreign volunteer units never play a significant role in actual combat. People totally new to the location, maybe even without training specific to the location? They’re not likely to do much but get in the way. This was also true with the Lincoln Brigade. Very well meaning volunteers who did little to stop the rise of Franco.
I am very interested in seeing the Ukranazi Foreign Legion continue to be annihilated. They are nothing like the International Brigade in Spain. They are much more like the Nordic and Ukrainian Waffen SS divisions in WWII.
