The US is giving the Ukraine money and weapons with which to attack the Donbass (OK) and the Crimea (much better), but so far, the Ukraine remember what happened in 2014 and figure if they force the Russians to come, it will not work out very well for the Ukraine, so they’re digging their heels in against attacking.
Of course, the US will keep upping the pressure. And if the Ukraine absolutely, positively refuse, the CIA can stage a good ‘false flag’ attack, and if they use Sarin (of which they have plenty) the OPCW Director will say he has irrefutable proof Russia did it (no need to waste money sending out teams that will come home telling the truth against strict orders to the contrary, and anyway, it’s the Director who directs what’s in the final report, not the investigators).
