Russia announced it had the Sputnik vaccine in August, which was at the end of Phase II (out of III). Now that Phase III is complete, the Sputnik vaccine is finally being given to a few for real, but Russian production is limited. I understand India got the secret formula and will be making 100 million doses, but since it requires 2 shots, this might only be enough for 50 million (out of 1½ billion). Not clear which 50 million will get it. Or when.
The PRC hasn’t said much, but some countries got the 1st Chinese vaccine for Phase III testing (not enough CoViD-19 in the PRC to test if the vaccine works).
Western media mention the US and UK vaccines and not much else. Claims Russia has been trying to steal the Western vaccines and not much mention of the PRC.
Lots of antivaxxers in the world. Claims the vaccines are like “The President’s Analyst”, it is really a government control device, not a vaccine. Claims it is intended to kill off 7/8 of the global population as the best way to address global warming. Claims almost no one really dies of CoViD-19, it was just a ruse to convince people to take the vaccine (the 1.8 million deaths from CoViD-19 in 2020 are because death certificates are a multiple guess exam for the attending physicians, who can write anything as the cause of death, so they were ordered to put down CoViD-19 for 1.8 million in 2020).
About 55 million people die every year (on average: some years more, some years fewer) so 1.8 million million is about 3% of the total for 2020. Of course, everyone had only 2.4 chances in 10,000 of dying from CoViD-19 in 2020. One was three times more likely to die of a stroke than from CoViD-19 and 5 times more likely to die from heart disease. One was more likely to have died from dementia than from CoViD-19.
So vaccinate or don’t vaccinate? Should vaccination be mandatory? Should only those with certificates of vaccination be allowed to travel or eat in restaurants?
We’ll be fighting about this for all of 2021, and maybe much longer.
All health personnel here are going to be compulsorily vaccinated. No choice in the matter. The local government sent a girl around just before Christmas to take my assistant’s and my names and contact details for compulsory vaccination. No wonder when they’re actually going to do it.
