Faced with its utter incompetence, which has wrecked the economy, tens of millions of livelihoods, and with a COVID-19 lockdown that has proved an utter disaster, the Modi regime in India is doing the only thing it knows how to do – distract attention, this time by manufacturing a border crisis with China, as it last did in 2017.
