Interesting history. A BBC show, ‘Panorama’ had an episode, ‘The Jihadis you are paying for.’ Soundly condemned by the new and improved Guardian, saying the show was all the opinion of ignorant, uninformed TV people, not serious news people like the new and improved The-UK-government-Is-always-right Guardian. But I fear too many people watched the programme, so the government, saying loudly that Panorama had nothing to do with it, cut the funding to those peaceful, pro-democracy activists, al-Qaeda in Syria and the ISL, to whom the UK government was giving millions a year to bring peace, democracy and prosperity to Syria, just as they did to Iraq and Libya.
